This was my first venture in to bird watching,with lot of expectations and curiousness we started our journey to Vettangudy , A bird Sanctuary situated in Tamilnadu , on the way from Madurai to Thirupattur.
we started by around 8.30 AM in the morning and Reached there by 10.30 AM, When we entered the sanctuary we were disappointed but once we started proceeding inside, a beautiful Short welcomed us with Hundreds of Birds nesting on the trees Here are few photos
On the way my first photo shot was the Above Shown photo which was taken on the way to Vettangudi
Once we started entering the sanctuary the following picture welcomed us
The following Birds were sighted there

Sacred ibis-Threskiornis aethiopicus(If wrong pls correct)
Some of the other interests found there
Some beautiful butter fly
On the way back also we sighted some birds
Altogether we had an excellent escape from the concrete jungle.
